A practical buying guide to the Bulldogs box set: how to decide if 24 hard plastic miniatures fit your force, and how to use them on the tabletop.
Quick answer
Buy the Bulldogs box if you want a themed 24-model hard plastic squad for a Death Fields-style force and you are comfortable checking scale against your existing collection. Skip it if you need a single display figure or confirmed compatible dog models for beastman hound conversions.
What the Bulldogs kit actually gives you
The Bulldogs is a combined team drawn from abductees across several historical eras, which makes it a strong choice for players who like a unit with a story rather than a uniform look. The box builds 24 hard plastic miniatures, so it suits a full squad or a core for a larger force.
Because the product listing does not state a scale, base size, or whether separate dog or hound components are included, treat those as open questions. Check the manufacturer's current listing or ask the store before you buy if scale compatibility or animal figures are essential to your plan.
Scale and conversion limits to check first
Wargame dog models and beastman hound conversions often depend on matching head, body, and base sizes across kits. The Bulldogs listing focuses on the human team, so do not assume it contains hound parts. If your project needs dog figures, plan to source them separately and confirm scale against the Bulldogs bodies before committing.
For bulldog miniatures scale questions, compare the listed model count and the photos in the product listing with a figure you already own. If the listing does not give a measurement, that absence is a real limitation, not a detail to guess.
Price and value trade-off
At USD 27.17 against a catalog comparison price of USD 39.95, the Bulldogs box offers 24 hard plastic models at a low cost per figure. That value only holds if the theme and model count match your army. A cheaper box you never field is worse value than a smaller kit you use every game.
Decision rules for buying the Bulldogs
- If you need a full squad: Choose the Bulldogs when your force needs a themed 24-model unit and you can use most of the figures. Confirm your game's unit size first so you do not buy more models than you will field. Count the models your army list actually requires before ordering.
- If scale compatibility is critical: Do not buy on assumption. Compare the product photos with a figure you already own, and ask the store for measurements if the listing does not state scale. Treat unlisted scale as unknown. Get a measurement or photo comparison before committing to a mixed-scale project.
- If you want dog or hound figures: The Bulldogs listing describes a human team, not dog models. Source wargame dog models separately and test one conversion before buying multiple boxes for beastman hound conversions. Buy one test frame or figure first when conversion fit is unproven.
- If you are building a display piece: A 24-model hard plastic squad box is a poor fit for a single display figure. Choose a character or single-model kit instead unless you plan to paint the whole team. Match the kit's model count to your actual painting goal.
Product facts
- Bulldogs: The Bulldogs box includes enough parts to build 24 hard plastic miniatures. A 24-model count lets you fill a full squad or spread figures across several units, so check your planned force size before buying.
