FOR KING! FOR COUNTRY! FOR GOLD!

The men who plundered the Americas were typically adventurers down on their luck and willing to risk all to change their fortunes. Many were well-trained mercenaries in service to the kings of Europe who vied among themselves to control land, people, and the Church and wouldn’t look out of place in those armies.

This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 24 soldiers equipped with sword, spear, halberd, crossbow, and musket with additional options for pike and two-handed swords. A mix of hat and helmet types will expand their use to the battlefields of Europe in the 16th century.

Each box includes four of the main frame and four of the 1/2 frame to build 24 figures.

Models require assembly and painting. Bases are not included. Not for Children. Contents may vary from photos.

Eva ★★★★★

Picked up this book for a bit of light reading on the age of exploration, and the detail on the mercenaries' motivations is spot-on. The writing really drives home the desperation and greed that fueled those expeditions.

Scarlett H. ★★★★★

The opening chapter hooked me right away with the gritty details of mercenary life—really paints a vivid picture of what drove these men to risk everything. Perfect for anyone who likes their history with a dose of brutal realism.

Sophia ★★★★★

The section on how most conquistadors were down-on-their-luck adventurers rather than trained soldiers really changed how I read the whole story. I picked it up expecting dry history and ended up finishing it in two nights. Good balance of detail without getting bogged down.
