青銅時代戰車

I was skeptical a book about ancient warfare tech could be this gripping, but the section on how the wheel and horse domestication came together 6000 years ago really sets the scene. Reading about the rumble of wheels and thunder of hooves made me feel like I was on the battlefield myself.

The descriptions of the thunder of hooves and rumble of wheels really set the tone—I felt like I was right there on the battlefield. It’s incredible how clearly it explains the design and history of these ancient war machines. Exactly what I wanted.

I picked this up expecting a dry military history and instead got a genuinely fascinating look at how the chariot evolved from domestic horses and the wheel into the first real war machine. The section on those early 6000-year-old origins alone was worth it.
